Jennifer Mallory Family Camp
The Living LFS Jennifer Mallory Family Camp provides LFS families and their caregivers with the knowledge, strength, psychosocial tools, and community to manage the myriad challenges associated with having a hereditary predisposition to developing cancer.
The next family camp will happen August 23-26, 2024, at Flying Horse Farms in Mt. Gilead, OH. Register now.
During family camp, participants have the opportunity to engage with and learn from genetic counselors, LFS researchers, psychologists, and dietitians with sessions like Caring for Your Mental Health and Well-being, Coping With Grief and Bereavement, Let’s Talk Adolescents and Young Adults, Supporting a Balanced Relationship with Food, Movement and Body Image, Genetics 101 (with click-together DNA strands!), Talking to Your Kids About LFS, Navigating Your Medical Care, and Ask a Genetic Counselor.
Most importantly, participants get to meet and bond with other families who understand life with Li-Fraumeni syndrome while enjoying fun activities like zip lining, swimming, fishing, disc golf, arts and crafts, wine and paint night, and a talent show, in beautiful locations. Previous Family Camps have been held at Camp Mak-A-Dream in Gold Creek, Montana, and Rocky Mountain Village Easterseals Camp in Empire, Colorado.

In October 2019, Living LFS presented our first annual Living LFS Family Camp at Camp-Mak-A-Dream in Gold Creek, Montana. It was an unqualified success!
